Inpute are pleased to announce the latest release of version 2.3.2 of the Inpute Capture Module. Enhancements to this release include support for Kofax VRS 4 and also the ability to export captured images in Adobe pdf format.

The Inpute Capture Module is a modular solution providing a flexible way of capturing, enhancing, processing and exporting paper documents to a range of back office solutions. Offering multiple ways of capturing images, the Inpute Capture Module can be configured to divide a stream of pages into logical documents based on a number of criteria, extract information from documents based on barcodes, and export the resulting images and meta data to a range of output locations and imaging systems.

Some of the key features of v2.3.2 include:

• User interface designed to enhance ease of use.
• Custom module configurations can easily be saved and combined into specific job configurations which allow fast and easy switching between job types.
• Full support for industry standard ISIS scanners, allowing access, customisation, and job by job configuration of the scanner for optimal results. Settings may even be changed within a scan run.
• Inpute certified support for VRS version 4 providing automated image optimisation.
• Modular design allowing multiple post scanning processes to be carried out on the page stream, such as blank page detection, document boundary detection, and page separator indexing.
• Supports the recognition of 20 barcode formats, including multiple formats at the same time.
• User definable document separator barcodes providing enhanced flexibility in document boundary detection.
• User selectable automatic document separator removal
• Support for ?Regular Expression? pattern matching and value manipulation of document meta data, allowing enhanced data extraction.
• Many export formats supported as standard including CSV and PDF.
• Plugin architecture allows the authoring of custom post processors and export modules
