13.02.2006   Autonomy Aquisition of Verity Completed

The acquisition of Verity by Autonomy was completed on the 29th of December last. Autonomy paid in cash approximately USD 500 million for Verity inc. This transaction brings together two world-class companies resulting in a USD 225 million revenue, USD 1.2 billion market cap, publicly traded company, that can offer greater product offerings and solutions.

As a result of the acquisition, Autonomy has also established the Cardiff division of the Autonomy Group, which will focus on advancing technologies in the area of content capture and adaptive business process management solutions. More specifically, Autonomy is committed to advancing the TeleForm and LiquidOffice product sets.

Existing TeleForm and/or LiquidOffice licenses are automatically assumed by Autonomy and the terms of existing license agreement remain in effect. The same development team and technical support team remain in place in Calgary and San Diago respectably, plus UK and Ireland sales and pre-sales resources based out of the UK.

Autonomy?s global headquarters are in Cambridge, England and San Francisco, California. The Cardiff division will continue to operate from Vista, California with Mark Seamans as General Manager and Suresh Ramaswamy as Vice President, BPM Strategy.

As the leader in managing unstructured information, Autonomy offers advanced technology to manage text, video and voice. Additional information on the Autonomy products can be found on their web site at www.autonomy.com. Autonomy?s products include the IDOL Server, a platform for understanding the meaning and significance of information; Aungate, technology for real-time compliance; Virage, technology for rich media communication and content management; etalk, solutions for enterprise-class contact center products; and Ultraseek, a business search engine.

Inpute customers should see no day to day changes as a result of this acquisition, bar the reintroduction of the Cardiff branding. The annual Cardiff reseller conference is being held in late March in the US and as usually we?ll have a number of staff attending. Additional information on the acquisition can be found on the Autonomy site, www.autonomy.com
