SDS, An Post's Special Delivery Services, this week went live with a Proof of Delivery solution implemented and supported by Inpute Technologies.

The new system uses barcode recognition to automate the indexing of completed POD cards and includes an imaging solution allowing SDS customer care staff to retrieve queried POD in seconds. Additionally, with it's integration to SDS's web site, customers can automatically receive copies of POD via email or fax.

The application uses Cardiff TELEform to capture, recognise and validate each delivery track and trace number while Alchemy is the basis for the document image repository.
