TELEform v8.2 features an even more powerful recognition engine, which provides better accuracy and improved character, form and barcode recognition. Additional new features include control centre alerts with multiple notification options and the ability to export image zones in colour.

TELEform v8.2 features valuable updates to its RecoFlex recognition system to further optimise accuracy and speed, especially for intelligent character recognition (ICR) of handprint text. These updates include: support for the "?" and "£" symbols; improved character extraction for constrained handprint; field and existing form identification and location improvements; and drawing capabilities to the RecoFlex application programming interface (API).

In order to provide more flexibility and accuracy for barcode identification and recognition, additional barcode types have been added to the supported barcode list. Furthermore, accuracy for fields that include special characters can now be improved by selecting any special characters valid for that field when defining the processing for the field. Image zone accuracy was also improved by allowing users to write limited regular expressions to specify the formatting of a single-line image zone. In addition to several other new features, TELEform v8.2 also ships with added documentation to provide greater support of key features.

TELEform v8.2 is currently available in two versions: TELEform Elite, a single workstation system for mid-level forms processing applications, and TELEform Enterprise, a production-level, scalable, remote data, document capture and processing system. Both versions of TELEform v8.2 can be extended with the addition of the TELEform eForm Option for eForm capability and TELEform AutoMerge Publisher to provide automated document assembly and response.
