Inpute Technologies history is closely linked to that of our parent company
Softech Ltd. Since
Softech's establishment in Ireland in 1978, they have consistently been in the forefront of computer software innovation.
Softech began as the original distributor of Apple Computers into the British Isles, extending through to the early 1990?s when the company sold a range of computer hardware and network operating system software.
Softech's leap into the software world continued as it established a bespoke software division. This led to the development and realisation of the globally successful Ringmaster telephone call billing produce. Further developments were made on the software front as Softech added multi-user Unix, Informix, Oracle, VB and Microsoft SQL application capabilities to its portfolio, developing applications on Altos, Sun Microsystems, and Microsoft platforms.
In the early 1990?s, a strategy was adopted to look at document imaging and electronic messaging. In tandem with developing its own software products,
Softech became Value Added Reseller for various best of breed software products, including Captaris RightFax, Watermark, and Cardiff TELEform.
This success in two distinctly different areas namely, computer infrastructure and software solutions provider led to
Softech's establishment of a separate software development subsidiary - Inpute Technologies in 2000.
