Responsibilities
- Analysis, design and development of enterprise-class applications
- Maintaining and supporting existing applications
- Writing release documentation
- Assisting in testing and deployment of project deliverables
- Leading projects through the entire software development cycle from requirements gathering to product release
- Liaising with the project manager to provide updates on relevant projects, highlighting progress, roadblocks, etc
- Coaching and developing junior developers
- Proposing the use of new technology and tools as appropriate (e.g. .Net 4.0 new features)
- Leveraging third party development toolkits and environments already in use by Inpute
Qualifications
- Third level qualification in computer science, or equivalent
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (MCPD, MCTS, MTA) desirable, not essential
Skills
- Expert knowledge of .Net Framework, C#, ASP .Net, Microsoft SQL Server, XML, HTML, JavaScript is essential
- Strong knowledge and understanding of web based technologies
- Strong software design skills (OOD, design patterns)
- Strong knowledge of SQL and RDBMS, especially with relation to transaction isolation, locking and performance
- Knowledge of workflow and document capture desirable, not essential
- Fluency in English essential
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a software development role (ideally 3 of which should be in a software development company)
- Must have had experience in developing and supporting enterprise level line-of-business applications hosted in SQL and IIS
- Must be able to demonstrate continuing professional development

Graduate Programme
We now have a fantastic opportunity for a graduate with a degree in Computer Science (or similar) to develop within Inpute Technologies, one of Ireland's leading developers of document capture and workflow solutions.
The programme is an ideal opportunity for an IT graduate who wishes to work within a dynamic, motivated and experienced team. Excellent organisational skills, ability to work in a multi-tasked environment and as a part of a team are important qualities required for this role.
Inpute are based in Dundrum, Dublin 14 and have a client base of principally medium to large scale public and private enterprises in Ireland and the UK. We pride ourselves on the level of experience that our team have achieved whilst working with Inpute.
The Graduate Programme continues for eighteen months to two years, spending the initial part of the programme working on our helpdesk eventually transitioning to our software development team. This will become a permanent position.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science or similar
Skills
- Ideal candidate would have experience in .Net, Java, C++, VBA, and/or relational database experience an advantage but not essential
- Fluency in English essential
